We hope you had a wonderful holiday season.  As we enter 2008, and turn the calendar another year, we are reminded we too will be another year older.

As your insurance agent, we have a professional responsibility to inform you that planning for living a long life is a necessity.  No financial plan is complete without Long Term Care insurance.

Long Term Care insurance will provide you with a pool of money to pay for your care when you become older and can no longer care for yourself.  Statistics show how important it is to have this vital coverage:

• The average cost for one year of care is $75,000.  The average length of a claim is 3 years.

• Women have a 75% chance of needing long term care in their lifetimes.  Men have a 50% chance.

• It keeps you from having to go on Medicaid, which is welfare.  Medicaid does not provide the quality of care many of us will want or need.

The ideal time to purchase Long Term Care insurance is in your 50s.  Rates are more affordable, and you have to be able to quality medically.
