Karen & Michael Quigley
Client Testimonials
“Karen helped my wife and
me through a very
complicated series of
transitions with our
insurance policies. Karen
paid very close attention
to details, continually kept
us informed of our status,
and really followed
through. As complicated
as health care insurance
can be in this day and age,
Karen is the broker to have.
She really cares. Thank
you for everything Karen!”

“Recently, we were
involved in an auto
accident in a rental
car out-of-state. From
my first telephone
call across country
to Karen, to the
dealings with
Travelers Insurance,
we were assisted and
supported all the way.
Karen's personal
interest and follow-ups
between us and
Travelers helped
tremendously in
expediting matters.
My wife and I are
extremely pleased
with Travelers
and are most
appreciative of the
care and attention
from Karen and her
staff.”

Are you aware of these
three overlooked insurance coverage items? - June 2010 |
|
As we have been speaking with our clients
during the last several months, many of the
same questions have arisen regarding
overlooked insurance coverage items. Many of our clients have been unaware of their insurance exposures. As we have reviewed their policies with them, they have been adding these items:
- Personal articles floater – did you know most homeowner policies provide a limit of $2,500 for jewelry and other valuables? Many of our clients have “valuable items”, e.g., jewelry, watches, silverware, cameras, and fine arts; that are worth much more. We can easily schedule your valuables on a floater so you will have protection in the event of a loss, including mysterious disappearance.
- Flood insurance – homeowner and business owner policies do not provide coverage for flooding. If your home is damaged due to flooding, it can be very expensive to repair. Flood coverage can be easily added to existing home and business owner policies, or written as a standalone policy.
- Renter’s insurance – most renters of apartments, condominiums, and homes often mistakenly think they do not need this coverage since their landlord has insurance on the building. However, the renter’s personal belongings are not covered. Also, if someone would be injured on the premises, they could bring litigation against both the landlord and the tenant. Renter’s policies are inexpensive! Writing this coverage with an auto policy provides a multi policy discount that often pays for the renter’s policy.
Please contact our office so we can review your policy coverage items with you to eliminate any unnecessary exposures.
Our referral policy: when you refer someone for insurance and we write them a policy, we will send you a check for $50.
